To Be Interesting, Be Interested.

Today I am creating yet another section: Notes to Young Me.

In my 50+ years on Earth, I've learned a few things by experience, others I heard from far wiser people. In this section I will be making comics with them, so I do not forget them easily.

Raising my kids, I (try to) tell them what is a good thing and what is better not to trust or do. But I often land on Socrates’ wisdom ‘All I know is that I know nothing’.
Still, there are some wisdoms that keep coming back as pretty consistent life certainties, and this is one of those: To be interesting, you need to be interested.
I try to be a good listener. Most of us aren't, yet we would learn a lot if we weren't so self centered. Everyday I tell myself to ‘shut my mouth and listen more’. There is so much to learn from others as soon as we stop judging them…
