Observing and learning from the real masters: the kids.
Draw Like a 6-Year-Old
Famously, Picasso once said "It took me four years to paint like Raphael, but a lifetime to paint like a child."
And also "All children are artists. The problem is how to remain an artist once you grow up."
Mastering classical technique is something anyone can learn. But unlearning and think like a child is the hard part for us grown-ups. Every day I observe and learn from my daughter mainly how to not-think, just draw. Concentrating on all small things I like from the world. The real world and the imaginary one. Freely and liberated from the obsession with "results".
